The new Mercedes all-electric EQS is now on sale in the UK, with prices starting from £99,995 for the EQS 450+ AMG Line. While this is an expensive high-end luxury electric vehicle (EV), it does also offer an impressive range of up to 453 miles (729km) from its 107.8 kWh lithium-ion battery.

The 333-horsepower EQS is the new flagship of the Mercedes-Benz battery electric vehicle (BEV) line-up. It’s Mercedes-Benz’s first model to use their all-new modular platform architecture designed expressly for large luxury and executive-class electric vehicles.
The 107.8kWh battery not only offers an impressive range but is all about fast charging and the EQS features a 200kW DC on-board charger. This allows it to charge up to 80 percent in just 31 minutes. This is enough to deliver an extra 186 miles (300km) of range in just 15 minutes.

The EQS with its sleek curves is futuristic looking without being too radical. Inside, the EQS offers all the luxury you’d expect from a high-end Mercedes. The light leather gives it an air of class, while the cockpit has everything electronically displayed across the dashboard.
All EQS models come with a three-year subscription to Mercedes me Charge. This provides access to green charging from many public charging providers, with a single account. This also includes a one-year subscription to IONITY with free rapid charging.
Mercedes, who have said that from 2025 onwards all newly launched vehicle architectures will be electric-only, are now taking orders for the EQS are open now, with first UK deliveries expected late 2021.
