Jeep reveals image of its first all-electric sports utility vehicle (SUV)

Jeep have unveiled an image of the brand’s first all-electric Jeep sports utility vehicle (SUV). Jeep are often known for their gas-guzzling big 4x4s and SUVs but this is a huge change and helping to lead the way to cleaner bigger vehicles for on and off-road use.

The picture of the new zero-emissions Jeep was shown during Stellantis‘ Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan presentation. Carlos Tavares, the chief executive officer (CEO) of Stellantis, revealed images of the first-ever 100 percent battery-electric Jeep SUV, as the brand continues its global initiatives toward the full electrification of its SUV portfolio.

Stellantis, a global automaker mobility provider made up of 14 motor brands including Citroën, Fiat, Jeep, Peugeot and Vauxhall, are moving towards an electric future. Stellantis plans to invest more than €30 billion (£25.5 billion/$33.8 billion) through 2025 to execute software and an electrification transformation across its brands.

Early last year Jeep revealed that it would produce an electric Wrangler in the future. The new off-road electric vehicle (EV), dubbed the Jeep Magneto, was shown as a concept in Moab, Utah in the USA last spring. This along with the new Jeep revealed by Stellantis is an exciting time for fans of SUVs and 4×4 electric vehicles.

This new all-electric Jeep SUV will be launched early next year, expanding the brand reach and taking the next step to the achievement of the Jeep brand’s vision of ‘Zero Emission Freedom’. More information on the Jeep battery electric vehicle (BEV) will be released in the coming months.
