Instavolt partners with Starbucks licensee, Cobra Coffee, to supply the Winchester EV Superhub
InstaVolt has announced an exciting partnership with Cobra Coffee, a Starbucks licensee, to open a café at its new EV superhub near Winchester. This marks the first time InstaVolt has teamed up with a refreshment partner for an on-site café at one of its hubs.
Mark Smith, Group CEO of Southern Co-op, owners of Cobra Coffee, added:
“We’re really excited to be bringing the Starbucks experience to the UK’s largest rapid EV superhub, creating 14 new jobs and playing our part in de-carbonising travel. We have a real ambition across all our businesses to act on climate change so alongside access to renewable and fast charging, our site will be built to high environmental standards where customers will not only be able to recharge their cars, but also personally, with their favourite Starbucks beverages and food.”
The Winchester superhub, opening in spring 2025 at the Three Maids Hill junction near the A34, will be the UK’s largest rapid charging site. It will feature 44 ultra-rapid charging bays, including options for vans and towing vehicles. The addition of a Starbucks café enhances the experience for EV drivers, offering a place to relax and refuel with world-famous coffee while their vehicles charge.
