Hyundai IONIQ 5 Unveiled: Trim Upgrades, Pricing, and Refreshed Styling
Hyundai Motor UK has unveiled the new IONIQ 5 with refreshed exterior and updated interior styling, featuring new Long Range 84kWh and Standard Range 63kWh battery pack options.
The new IONIQ 5 showcases upgraded exterior features including new 19” and 20” alloy wheels, refreshed front and rear bumpers, redesigned front LED V-garnish, an extended rear spoiler, a rear wiper for improved visibility, and slim Digital Side Mirrors (DSM). It also introduces two new exterior paint colours, Meta Blue Pearl and Ultimate Red, expanding the colour palette to 11 options. Additionally, the IONIQ 5 now includes standard battery heating, battery preconditioning, and a heat pump across all models.
Alongside its refreshed exterior, the new IONIQ 5 boasts an interior redesign with a sliding centre console housing physical climate and heated seat controls, pixel-design door armrests, an auto-dimming digital centre mirror, and updated seat design and upholstery. A new dark surround for the dual 12.3” audio, visual, and navigation system, along with the driver’s instrument cluster, minimises reflections for enhanced clarity.
In addition to the existing Premium and Ultimate trims, the new Advance trim offers customers a well-equipped and high-value option. Meanwhile, the N Line and N Line S specifications elevate the trim levels with a sporty aesthetic inspired by the IONIQ 5 N, catering to enthusiasts seeking performance and style.
The new Hyundai IONIQ 5 offers a range of models with rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options, powered by Standard Range 63kWh or Long Range 84kWh batteries. Models include Advance and Premium trims with up to 354 miles of range, while N Line and N Line S versions feature sportier aesthetics and up to 325PS. Standard features across all trims include Hyundai’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), 800V charging compatibility, and advanced safety systems like Forward Collision Avoidance Assist and Lane Keep Assist. Prices start at £39,900.
Each trim level, from Advance to N Line S, offers unique enhancements such as upgraded interiors, premium audio systems, and advanced driver assistance technologies, ensuring a tailored experience for every driver.
Ashley Andrew, President of Hyundai and Genesis UK, said:
“The introduction of the award-winning IONIQ 5 in 2021 marked a new chapter in Hyundai’s electric vehicle offering, and these latest range enhancements exemplify our commitment to comfort, convenience and leading technology.
