GRIDSERVE welcomes first GWM ORA Funky Cat electric cars as UK deliveries begin

GWM ORA UK has started to facilitate the first customer handovers of the ORA Funky Cat First Edition electric vehicle (EV). GRIDSERVE is one of the first businesses to receive an ORA Funky Cat for use at its Electric Forecourt in Braintree, where the vehicle will be offered to customers to test drive on an ongoing basis.

Toby Marshall, GWM ORA UK managing director, said: “GRIDSERVE will play a big part in helping us raise awareness this year by running an ORA Funky Cat from their amazing facility in Braintree, and later in Norwich, for customers to test drive.

GRIDSERVE’s Braintree Electric Forecourt is a complete electric car experience destination. It features an electric vehicle showroom with brand agnostic EV gurus on hand to discuss charging, leasing and test drives. 

The ORA Funky Cat is now available to lease by GRIDSERVE Car Leasing from £420.25 a month with three months free charging included on all leases.

As a highly specified launch vehicle, the ORA Funky Cat First Edition comes equipped with many driver-friendly features. These include adaptive and lane centring cruise control, 360-degree cameras and voice assistant. It also has LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, wireless phone charging and electric front seats. 

The neat-looking little ORA Funky Cat First Edition will have a starting from £31,995. It will available with a 48kWh battery which in turn delivers a range of up to 193 miles which is ideal for a small around-town electric hatchback. 

We recently brought you the news that the ORA Funky Cat achieved best-in-class results in the ‘Small Family Car’ category as part of Euro NCAP safety tests. 

Gridserve recently announced its latest charging Super Hub in the shadow of Stonehenge. This is located a few minutes down the A303 from the prehistoric monument with Solstice Park offering eight 350kW-capable high power chargers bringing 21st-century technology to one of the oldest sites in the world.
