Toddington Harper kick-starts GRIDSERVE GLOBAL to propel expansion efforts
UK-based GRIDSERVE is going worldwide with the launch of GRIDSERVE GLOBAL. Toddington Harper, the company’s Founder and CEO, will take the helm. GRIDSERVE has been busy installing the UK’s Electric Freightway and Highway, to expand EV charging nationwide. The company has also set up large charging hubs at key UK locations.
GRIDSERVE GLOBAL will spearhead the company’s efforts to enter new markets. The original GRIDSERVE will continue its operations in the UK. The UK-based operations will focus on growing the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway network. That includes the development of Electric Super Hubs, Electric Forecourts, and HGV charging stations.
Toddington Harper will now head GRIDSERVE GLOBAL but will remain a board member and major shareholder of GRIDSERVE in the UK. His brother, Heston Harper, will support global expansion efforts as CEO APAC. Roy Williamson, previously the Executive Chairman, will step in as interim CEO for GRIDSERVE in the UK.
Toddington Harper, now CEO of GRIDSERVE GLOBAL, commented:
“The addition of GRIDSERVE GLOBAL to support GRIDSERVE in the UK will deliver unrivalled focus and technology leadership, which is critical for supporting partners globally with world-leading technology, building on all our successes to-date, and supporting our mission to move the needle on climate change. I am so proud of what GRIDSERVE has achieved so far and I’m excited about what we can now achieve internationally through building on our technology leadership position into 2025 and beyond.”
The establishment of GRIDSERVE GLOBAL will strengthen the company’s technology leadership. Both GRIDSERVE entities will work closely to leverage their synergies and advance their shared mission.
Roy Williamson, Interim CEO at GRIDSERVE in the UK, added:
“GRIDSERVE’s UK business remains 100% focussed on developing, delivering and operating an EV network that gives UK drivers the confidence to go electric with a great customer experience. Under Toddington’s vision and leadership, the team has installed almost 1,500 charging bays at over 190 locations, and GRIDSERVE has become a market leading charge point operator. We’re continuing to build on that success for 2024 and beyond and will remain focused on our mission to deliver sustainable energy at the speed and scale needed to move the needle on climate change.”
