Jonathan Goodman joins The EV Network to expand the UK’s charging infrastructure

Jonathan Goodman, the former CEO of Polestar UK, becomes a Non-Executive Director at The EV Network. Goodman brings nearly 40 years of experience from top positions at Volvo, Stellantis, and Peugeot UK.

Jonathan Goodman commented:

“I am honoured to join The EV Network at such a pivotal time in the EV industry. He’ll be helping the network expand across the UK. The EV Network recently completed one of Europe’s largest charging hubs at the NEC Birmingham. This facility features 30 ultra-fast charging points, situated between the city and busy motorway interchanges. Couple this with its partnership with Tim Horton’s UK, and you get an idea of how quickly the network is growing.

CEO and Co-Founder of The EV Network, Reza Shaybani said:

“We are thrilled to welcome Jonathan to our Board of Directors. Jonathan’s profound knowledge of the automotive industry, coupled with his leadership in promoting electric vehicles, aligns perfectly with our vision at The EV Network. His strategic insights and industry experience will be invaluable as we continue to expand our EV infrastructure and accelerate the transition to sustainable transportation.”

The UK’s EV market share is at 16.5%—short of this year’s 22% target under new Zero Emission Vehicle mandates. The EV Network is addressing the infrastructure gap. Closing this gap is essential to hitting the UK’s target of making 80% of vehicles on the road electric by 2030.

Best of luck to Jonathan Goodman in his new role, and with his efforts to expand the UK’s EV infrastructure for a green transport future.
