Ford Mustang Mach-E test drives available at EV LIVE at Blenheim Palace, this month

  • EV LIVE at Blenheim Palace is fast approaching, running between Friday 13th and Sunday 15th of September, giving you the opportunity to get behind the wheel of electric cars from a number of manufacturers – including the Ford Mustang Mach-E.
  • An electric reinvention of Ford’s long-standing Mustang marque, the Mustang Mach-E is part-family car, part-sports car.
  • Starting at £43,830 in the UK, it’s a much more performance-focussed alternative to EVs such as the Tesla Model Y and Volkswagen ID.4.

Despite the levels of performance on offer, and a sleek shape that nods to its Mustang name, the Mach-E is still a practical electric SUV. It’ll comfortably seat five adults, along with a 402 litre boot and 100 litre frunk helping to maximise storage space. Its styling plays heavy resemblance to Mustangs of yesteryear, with the bulging front bonnet, smothering of Mustang badges, and the iconic three-piece taillights. And, whilst it’s the first SUV, and EV, to carry the badge, it still answers to the badge’s legendary credentials in the name of some serious performance. In GT form, a dual-motor setup offers up 480 horsepower, delivering a 0-62mph time of just 4.4 seconds.

Ford BlueCruise, which allows for hands-free driving on select motorways, is also built into all new Mustang Mach-Es, with a 90-day free trial coming with each new car. The tech, which is available to use on around 95% of the UK’s motorway network, is the first of its kind available in the country that allows drivers to legally remove their hands, so long as they’re still staring at the road ahead and paying attention, ready to respond.

For those who really want to push the Mustang Mach-E, Ford offers a ‘Rally Pack‘ on the top-spec GT model. For £2,250 extra, this grants you several features that make the Mach-E just as capable off the road as on the road. This includes a rally-inspired rear spoiler, extra-supporting bucket-style seats, along with raised suspension and rally-style wheels, wrapped in all-terrain tyres.

To try out Ford’s first fully-electric Mustang for yourself, be sure to book a test drive at EV LIVE at Blenheim Palace, taking place this month.

Tickets also give full access to the rest of the Blenheim Palace site.

We recommend pre-booking your drive of the Ford Mustang Mach-E, to be guaranteed a chance to drive this electric SUV.
