Connekt launches its first rapid charging hub at the Cameron House Hotel in Scotland

Connekt EV Charging has launched its first rapid charging hub at Cameron House Hotel on Loch Lomond. This new hub is a key step in Connekt’s mission to establish 100 rapid charging sites across the UK.

Johnny Manning, Founder and Managing Director of Connekt, stated:

“The launch of our first rapid charging hub at Cameron House is a pivotal moment in our expansion strategy. It exemplifies our dedication to providing reliable and accessible EV charging solutions, aligning with our goal to roll out 100 rapid hubs nationwide. We are grateful for the support from the FSE Group and Cameron House in realising this vision.”

Located at the prestigious Cameron House hotel, the hub features two direct current (DC) chargers—60kW and 120kW. These chargers enable drivers to add approximately 100 miles of range in as little as 25 minutes.

The Cameron House installation builds on an existing partnership with Connekt, which previously set up 24 EV chargers across four locations on the hotel’s property. This expansion aligns with both Connekt’s and Cameron House’s commitment to sustainability.

Jim Brown, Director of Estates & Sustainability at Cameron House, added:

“Partnering with Connekt to introduce this rapid charging hub aligns with our commitment to sustainability and providing exceptional services to our guests. It reinforces our dedication to supporting eco-friendly travel options.”

The cherry on top? Connekt plants a tree for every charger installed, further supporting the company’s environmental goals. We look forward to more charging hubs being installed, and more trees planted across Scotland and the UK.
