Contigo Mobility brings electric bike battery swapping stations to the UK
Contigo Mobility (CoMo) is bringing its battery-swapping stations to the UK. The rollout will begin in February this year. This move marks CoMo’s expansion from Indonesia, where it has already achieved great success.

The new stations will allow riders of electric motorbikes and bicycles to swap their batteries in minutes. This eliminates the need for manual charging, saving time and improving convenience. CoMoTo fleet vehicles will be the first to benefit, but the stations will also support other electric motorcycles and ebikes.
Safety is a top priority. Recent home battery fires have raised concerns, but CoMo’s stations are designed to reduce risks. They include fire-resistant enclosures and built-in extinguishing systems, offering a safer alternative to home charging.
Emilia Tubielewicz, Head of International Relations at CoMo, commented:
“We are excited to bring our proven battery-swapping solutions to the UK. Our experience in Indonesia has demonstrated that battery swapping is a game-changer for EV users. We’re confident it will bring immense benefits to the UK market, especially by addressing key safety and convenience challenges.”
