JLR partners with Pirelli to use 100% natural rubber tyres on the Range Rover Electric

JLR is making a bold move to enhance sustainability across its luxury vehicle lineup by introducing FSC-certified natural rubber tyres. Partnering with global tyre giant Pirelli, JLR aims to lead the automotive industry in responsible sourcing and environmental stewardship. These certified tyres will debut on the new Range Rover Electric, ensuring full traceability back to individual plantations.

This initiative aligns with JLR’s Reimagine strategy, which emphasises responsible sourcing and supply chain transparency. The FSC certification ensures ethical farming of rubber and compliance with stringent sustainability standards.

JLR has strengthened its global sourcing process to evaluate suppliers based on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria. They’re ensuring they meet the highest standards in environmental performance, labour practices, and social responsibility.
