Vauxhall now offers its complete van range in electric versions as orders open for All-New Combo-e

Vauxhall’s all-new, fully electric Combo-e compact van is now on sale in the UK. With this model now becoming available it means Vauxhall, who are the UK’s best-selling electric light commercial vehicle manufacturer, now offers fleets and business customers an electric van across its entire LCV line-up.

The new Combo-e will be available in panel and crew van variants, in two body lengths and three trim levels. It’s powered by a 50kWh battery that drives a single electric motor producing 100kW (136PS). This in turn delivers a range of 171 miles (275km) and using a 100kW charger, the Combo-e is capable of charging up to 80 percent in just 30 minutes.

As standard, the Combo-e comes fitted with a 7.4kW onboard charger and charging cable, allowing it to be charged via a wallbox in seven hours and 30 minutes. An 11kW onboard charger is available as an extra option and brings the charging time down to five hours.

Like Vauxhall’s other fully electric LCV models, the Combo-e is exempt from current ultra-low emission and congestion charge payments. The zero emissions-in-use powertrain also allows businesses to save significantly on company van tax, with a zero percent Benefit-in-Kind tax rate.

All Combo-e models also include a Drive Mode Selector with a choice of three modes, Power, Normal and ECO. Power gives maximum performance, while Normal delivers a balanced drive that offers a compromise between performance and energy efficiency. ECO is designed to extract the maximum range and highest energy efficiency. A separate Braking mode selected via the electronic drive selector allows drivers to increase the level of regenerative braking.

The Combo-e offers a maximum payload of up to 800kg and up to 4.4 cubic metres of load space. This makes the Combo-e a highly practical compact van, perfectly suited for trade professionals.

The Combo-e will be manufactured in Ellesmere Port from later in 2022 and from 2028 Vauxhall will only offer electric cars and vans.

Paul Willcox, Vauxhall managing director, said: “With the Combo-e now sale alongside the Vivaro-e and Movano-e, Vauxhall customers now have even greater choice when it comes to finding an electric van that suits their needs.

“The Combo-e is a fantastic addition to our e-LCV line-up, full of practical features and technology that we’re confident will make it the standout choice in the small van sector.”

Prices for the Combo-e start at £25,238.33 (ex Vat, inc Plug-in Van Grant) with deliveries set to begin later this year.
