Vauxhall Vivaro-e is the UK’s best-selling electric light commercial vehicle (LCV) so far this year

According to figures published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), the Vauxhall Vivaro-e is Britain’s best selling light commercial vehicle (LCV) so far this year. Vauxhall have enjoyed a successful first half of the year in the LCV sector, with e-LCV sales topping 1,487.

Vauxhall is now one of the few manufacturers able to offer fleets and business customers an electric van across its entire LCV line-up. This follows the announcements of its All-New Movano-e large van and the All-New Combo-e compact van now being available.

The all-electric Vivaro-e saw record sales of 613 in June, making it the best-selling model not only for this month but for the year-to-date in the electric LCV sector. Its popularity is most likely down to having a range of up to 205 miles (330km) and a payload of up to 1,226kg.

Vauxhall are commitment to electrification and the brand has the goal of offering an electrified variant across its entire model line-up by 2024.

Paul Willcox, Vauxhall managing director, said: “As a British brand, I’m proud to see Vauxhall is leading the electrification of the UK van market with our multiple award-winning Vivaro-e.

“Vauxhall is all about democratising access to electrified vehicles and within a few months we will have an all-electric version of every van we sell which should further help to reduce in-use emissions and bring the lower running costs and user experience of driving electric to even more businesses in the near future.”
