New Auto Trader podcast led by Erin Baker to start on 20th of February
Erin Baker hosts the podcast with a career in journalism spanning over 25 years, writing for titles such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, and Marie Claire, and previously held a role as Managing Director of Motoring at Telegraph Media Group.
Other guests set to join the podcast include BBC sustainability journalist, Lucy Siegle, Jo Elvin, broadcaster and former editor of Glamour magazine, racing driver Nathalie McGloin, and Vicky Read, CEO of UK EV charging industry group ChargeUK. Topics to be explored during the episodes include sustainability, customer service, recruitment, and the retail sector. The podcast will also examine what lessons the automotive industry can learn from the fashion retail industry.
Auto Trader has been a driver of inclusivity and a champion of women within the automotive industry, helping highlight the sector as a great place for women to work. It also exists as one of just a few FTSE 100 companies with majority female board members. Auto Trader also sponsors Green.TV’s Top Women in EV campaign – which was kicked off with the first session of the year in 2025, with an event at LinkedIn’s London headquarters.
Erin Baker, Auto Trader’s Editorial Director and host of the new podcast, commented:
“The female-empowerment genre is too one-dimensional – we need to lift the corporate curtain to understand that, while we strive for equality, it can be hard out there for women juggling professional and personal demands. By sharing stories about our worries, fears and achievements, we can inspire and inform not only the next generation but our peers too, and hopefully each of us will feel less alone.
We have an amazing line up of guests: women I have admired and known for years, and I can’t wait to get them in the driving seat, in front of a microphone.”

The podcast will be available to listen/watch through both Spotify and YouTube.
