Electrify America, the largest open DC electric vehicle (EV) fast charging network in the US, has announced an agreement with Hyundai. This is to provide the first owners of the all-electric Hyundai IONIQ 6 with two years of unlimited 30-minute complimentary charging from the date of purchase. This free charging will be available at all of Electrify America’s rapidly growing network of DC fast chargers.

“We look forward to helping advance the electric vehicle revolution with leading automakers such as Hyundai and their latest IONIQ 6 model.”
Electrify America will continue its collaboration with Hyundai to support Kona Electric, IONIQ 5 and now IONIQ 6, giving drivers access to speeds of up to 350kW for capable vehicles. The IONIQ 6 can charge from 10 to 80 per cent in as little as 18 minutes with its Ultrafast 800-Volt Multi-Charging system and will have an estimated driving range (EPA) of up to 361 miles (581km) when it goes on sale in spring 2023.

IONIQ 6 owners can access charging benefits through the user-friendly Electrify America mobile app which allows customers to locate a charger, initiate a charge and track charging sessions.
Electrify America also offers an at-home charger called HomeStation for an additional cost. The Level 2 home charger delivers a 9.6kW maximum charge speed, providing up to 33 miles (53km) of range per hour of charging for capable vehicles. It is WiFi ready for seamless integration within the Electrify America app to schedule charging times as well as to control the remote start and stop.
