EKLEO is driving French fleets forward with Kempower and Proviridis partnership

  • EKLEO is expanding its electric fleet with a high-performance charging station, targeting 30% zero-emission kilometres by 2027.
  • The charging site includes 300 kW chargers with Kempower’s flexible “MORE” system, supporting up to 12 plugs per unit.
  • In the first half of 2024, EKLEO’s electric trucks saved over 46,000 kg of CO₂, demonstrating significant impact.

EKLEO is powering France’s shift to electric trucks with Kempower’s high-performance charging technology

EKLEO, a pioneering French transportation company, has built an electric truck fleet and a dedicated charging site. The project marks EKLEO as one of the first French transportation companies to fully embrace electric trucks.

EKLEO is driving French fleets forward

EKLEO partnered with Kempower and Proviridis to create a high-performance charging station. Located in the Centre-Val de Loire region, the site offers four charging points. Each delivers up to 300 kW. This setup allows electric trucks to recharge in just 1.5 hours. The site also supports dynamic power sharing. This means that power is efficiently distributed across vehicles, reducing charging time and cutting energy waste.

Currently, EKLEO’s fleet includes two electric trucks each from Scania, Volvo, and Mercedes. In late 2023, the company expanded its efforts by commissioning a supercharging station. The project aligns with EKLEO’s goal to cover 30% of its kilometers with zero-emission vehicles by 2027.

The company’s commitment to sustainability dates back to 2015

That year, EKLEO signed the ADEME Objectif CO2 charter, aiming to reduce emissions. In 2023, ADEME recognised EKLEO’s efforts with the “Objectif CO2” label. The company’s progress is clear. In the first half of 2024, EKLEO’s electric trucks covered 42,837 kilometres, saving over 46,000 kg of CO2.

Kempower’s cutting-edge technology supports this mission. The company recently unveiled its “MORE” multi-plug charging system, which can connect up to 12 charging plugs per unit. This innovation reduces wait times, increases flexibility, and maximizes power distribution efficiency, making it ideal for busy logistics hubs like EKLEO’s.

The new charging station is designed for scalability. EKLEO plans to expand both its fleet and the charging infrastructure. The current grid connection supports future growth. Plans are already in place to build another site by 2026.

EKLEO’s approach proves that mid-sized companies can lead the e-mobility transition. With reliable charging infrastructure and a growing fleet, the company is setting a new standard. By investing in electric trucks, EKLEO not only lowers emissions but also shows other companies that sustainable logistics is possible.
