To support their ambitious fleet, Einride will install eight charging stations with over 500 charging points. This infrastructure will be crucial for keeping the electric trucks powered up and running smoothly.

Einride is a Swedish company that specializes in driverless commercial vehicles. They offer the Saga software platform, an intelligent operating system for electric and future autonomous vehicle fleets. This platform helps companies transport goods in a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective way.

Einride’s expansion efforts in Europe involve partnerships with various manufacturers. They have ordered around 120 Mercedes eActros trucks, 110 e-trucks from Scania, and 200 vehicles from BYD. Recently, Einride announced plans to add 50 electric trucks from the Dutch manufacturer DAF Trucks to their lineup. Notable customers who have already embraced Einride’s solutions include Oatly, Lidl Sweden, Maersk, Electrolux, AB InBev, PepsiCo, and Rewe.

Einride’s mission is to revolutionize the logistics industry and contribute to a sustainable future. By collaborating with the UAE’s Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, they are taking significant steps toward achieving these goals in the Middle East.

“This collaboration gets to the core of what Einride provides – the transformation to effective and sustainable shipping that is fully electric. By partnering on this deal, we’ll be able to showcase how entire regions are able to make the switch in an intelligent and cost-effective way.”
