Drax’s EV Charging Portfolio Grows with BMM Integration
Drax Energy Solutions has bolstered its electric vehicle (EV) charging capabilities with the recent acquisition of BMM Energy Solutions (BMM). The deal, completed on August 31, 2023, now makes BMM a wholly-owned subsidiary of Drax Group PLC.
“Businesses who are serious about sustainability need to electrify their fleet and offer on-site charging for employees. The acquisition of BMM means we now offer a complete end-to-end solution – from vehicle suitability assessments through to charge point installation, operation and maintenance. We’re looking forward to welcoming the BMM team to Drax and working together to grow the combined business.”
Adam Hall, Director of Energy Services, Drax Group
BMM is a UK-based specialist in installing and maintaining EV charge points. It has been Drax’s primary partner for these services since 2018. Together, they’ve electrified the fleets of notable businesses like FI Real Estate, SES Water, and Travis Perkins.
Founded in 2013 by Terry and Mark Mohammed, BMM has grown significantly over the years, installing over 13,000 EV charge points to date.
“We’re excited about joining Drax, and this deal is the next great step in our growth journey. Integrating our installation and maintenance skills into the business will ensure that Drax’s clients can benefit for years to come.”
Terry Mohammed, CEO, BMM Energy Solutions
The existing BMM team will join Drax, operating from their current UK sites in Airdrie, Scotland, and Gatwick, South East England. Future expansion plans are in the pipeline to meet the evolving needs of their customers.
