With day two of the fifth annual EV SUMMIT getting underway today, there’s a wide range of electric vehicles (EVs) on display Oxford University’s Saïd Business School where the event is taking place. Plus, there are leading experts on hand to explain in more depth about them.
These cross a wide spectrum with some of the most exciting zero emission vehicles currently available in the emobility space. These include displays from AutoTrader, EAV, Ford, Maeving, smart and Volkswagen.
This event brings together business leaders and key players working on electric vehicles, energy, information technology and charging infrastructure, to explore how we advance fully battery electric emobility in the UK and globally.
Over the two-day summit, it will feature 10 panels across two days covering the significant business issues on the rapid transition to emobiity. Each panel features discussions with leaders from that space.
Panel sponsors include Visa, Shell Recharge, Improved Corporate Finance, Connected Kerb, Geotab, ABB, Auto Trader, BP Pulse, FLEETCOR and Scottish Power. Along with being a panel sponsor, Visa is also the headline partner for the panel event at the EV SUMMIT. Fleete will also be the evening reception sponsor.
Ade Thomas, EV SUMMIT founder, said: “This year’s EV SUMMIT has a really distinctive and exciting line-up of EVs from across the emobility segment spectrum.
“This includes the RM1 motorcycle from Maeving, the 2cubed four wheel eCargo bike from EAV and the ID. Buzz, from Volkswagen. I’m personally recalling looking forward to seeing these vehicles, in some cases for the very first time.”
Electric Vehicles on Display at the 2022 EV SUMMIT:
AutoTrader, who are also partners for the How to Grow EV Adoption panel at the EV SUMMIT, have their neatly logo’d up Polestar 2 on display. Ian Plummer, Auto Trader commercial director, also spoke on this panel.
EAV, the Oxfordshire-based company that has re-evaluated how urban transportation and last-mile logistics should work sustainably, are showing their eCargo 2cubed electric assisted vehicles from Halfords, FedEx and Laundryheap.
Ford is at the EV SUMMIT with its popular Mustang Mach-E. The company recently announced it had reached the milestone of building 150,000 Mustang Mach-E electric vehicles. From 2023 this model will be available in 37 countries.
Maeving, the electric motorcycle specialist, has its RM1 electric motorcycle on display. This beautiful-looking machine combines classic British heritage styling with the practicalities of a modern zero emissions bike.
Smart, who unveiled its new #1 electric car back in April in Berlin, have their small but unique looking zero emissions vehicles on display. Unlike its previous micro-sized electric cars, the new #1 is a larger electric crossover style vehicle.
