CUPRA have released a glimpse of its new CUPRA UrbanRebel Concept electric vehicle (EV). There’s not much to go on apart from a flashy looking spoiler but CUPRA say they’re pushing the limits with its most radical interpretation of an urban electric performance car.
The CUPRA UrbanRebel Concept mixes pure electrification, sustainability and performance with the thrilling aesthetics of the virtual world. It gives an idea of the future design language of the urban electric vehicle but we will have to wait to see the finished car because it’s not being launched until 2025.
Racing is a key part of CUPRA’s DNA and the brand is currently involved with Extreme E, the first gender-equal off-road race series, designed to highlight the impact of climate change and human interference in some of the world’s most remote locations. This is why the company decided to present the vision of its 100 percent all-electric urban vehicle as a race car first, with bold, thrilling and sharp looks.
CURPA announced earlier this year the launch of its first all-electric car the CUPRA Born. Once again it has a sporty edge and the new zero-emissions electric car will offer up to 335 miles (539km) of range and hit 0-62mph (100kph) in seven seconds. UK pricing for the CUPRA Born will be announced later this year with deliveries starting at the beginning of 2022.
The CUPRA UrbanRebel Concept will be digitally unveiled next week and will make its world debut at this year’s IAA Munich International Motor Show.
