- Newcomer to the UK car market, Changan, has announced an expansion of its UK dealer and service partners, as its gears up to launch the Deepal S07 electric SUV in the country this September.
- When the new model launches in the UK next month, Changan UK will have 20 sites open, with a further 30 dealer sites opening by the end of the year.
- With its £39,990 price tag, the Deepal S07 is optimally priced to take on established competitors in the EV market, hoping to sway customers in an increasingly crowded electric SUV segment.
Changan gears up for UK launch
Changan has signed a number of key automotive partners, including Lookers, Ancaster, Parks, DM Keith, and Stoneacre. This wide selection will make its EV portfolio range easily accessible for customers right across the UK, and also provide ample servicing opportunities.
We attended Changan Automobile’s European launch back in the spring, getting first hand experience of how the Deepal S07 drives on European roads. From that, it’s clear that the car is up to the same standards of refinement and technology of European rivals. There are several aspects of the Deepal S07 that should quell buyer hesitation for what is a relatively unknown brand in Europe. Those aspects include a five-star Euro NCAP crash rating, along with a seven-year, 100,000 mile car warranty, and a longer eight-year, 120,000 mile battery warranty.
