Simon Property Group is electrifying its extensive US real estate portfolio with bp pulse
BP’s EV charging arm, bp pulse, has struck a deal with Simon Property Group to bolster EV infrastructure throughout the US. Under this agreement, bp pulse will deploy ultra-fast charging stations at 75 Simon locations nationwide. Overall, they’ll provide over 900 charging bays by early 2026.
This collaboration will focus on key American regions, including the West Coast, East Coast, Sun Belt, and Great Lakes.
Richard Bartlett, CEO bp pulse, commented:
“We’re pleased to complete this deal with Simon and expand our ultra-fast charging network footprint in the US. The Simon portfolio aligns with bp pulse’s strategy to deploy ultra-fast charging across the West Coast, East Coast, Sun Belt and Great Lakes, and we are thrilled to team up with Simon so that EV drivers have a range of retail offerings at their impressive destinations.”
The initiative dovetails with bp’s broader strategy to establish robust charging infrastructure near airports, major cities, and within its extensive network of convenience stores and TravelCenters.
Chip Harding, Executive Vice President, Simon Brand Ventures said:
“Simon is committed to offering best-in-class brands, amenities, experiences and sustainable practices to our shoppers and the communities that we serve. We look forward to expanding our EV charging options across the Simon portfolio with bp pulse.”
Drivers can locate these state-of-the-art charging stations via the Simon EV charging webpage and the bp pulse app. Furthermore, bp pulse’s energy management solution, Omega, will optimise energy consumption at these sites.
Through this partnership, bp and Simon are spearheading efforts to streamline EV charging accessibility nationwide. With Toyota joining IONNA just yesterday, the US is experiencing a hefty EV network boom.
