- Building on the growing link between clean energy and emobility, EV charging management software provider AMPECO has partnered with Dutch EV charging hardware provider Peblar to deliver solar-based EV charging solutions for domestic applications.
- The partnership combines AMPECO’s intelligent charging platform with Peblar’s solar-optimised residential chargers, helping to further integrate solar energy into the EV space.
- The move is set to maximise use of renewable energies and help bring down the cost of EV ownership even further.
AMPECO and Peblar partner for smart solar solution
Peblar’s chargers already work with real-time data from household smart meters, enabling three dynamic modes with varying levels of dependence on solar, to fit the owner’s charging needs. However, the new combination of this with AMPECO’s charging platform will bring another layer of energy efficiency to the hardware. By supporting dynamic energy tariffs, the system helps users sync their charging with both solar generation and low-cost electricity windows.
The partnership arrives at a key time, as Europe’s summer months bring peak levels of solar generation and the number of EVs on the road across the continent continue to rise.
