The three events that drive the EV industry forward
ElectricDrives was founded to address a growing gap between rapid technological progress in electric vehicles and public understanding. As EVs moved from early adoption toward the mainstream, Ade identified the need for clear and credible journalism focused on real-world relevance. Since originally launching in 2019, ElectricDrives has developed into a trusted platform covering electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, energy integration, and policy, with a consistent emphasis on consumer confidence and usability.
In 2020, Thomas founded World EV Day™, a global awareness campaign designed to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles through coordinated international participation. World EV Day brings together governments, automotive manufacturers, energy companies, charging providers, and public institutions under a shared narrative that electric mobility is a present-day solution rather than a future aspiration. 2025’s day saw significant global engagement, with firms marking the day by offering free public charging, making new commitments to EV expansion, and more.
Thomas is also the founder of EV SUMMIT, a senior-level industry event focused on electric mobility, infrastructure, and energy systems. EV SUMMIT provides a forum for policymakers, OEMs, energy companies, and technology providers to examine the commercial, regulatory, and strategic challenges shaping the EV transition. The summit reflects Ade’s belief that informed dialogue between sectors is essential to sustaining momentum in electric mobility.
Across ElectricDrives, World EV Day™, and EV SUMMIT, Thomas’s work is defined by a focus on clarity, trust, and long-term confidence. As electric vehicles increasingly intersect with energy systems, storage, and digital technology, his work continues to emphasise the importance of communication in enabling adoption at scale.
