- World EV Day™ has returned for its sixth anniversary today (Tuesday 9th September), helping to celebrate the great progress of the EV industry and communicate electric vehicles to a mainstream audience.
- This year, it’s not just about celebrating the development already made in the EV industry – but also how the transition’s already impressive momentum can be maintained.
- With that in mind, this year’s World EV Day™ also marks the launch of the EV Leadership Comms Group: a global community for senior communications professionals driving the future of electric mobility.
A new group to unite EV communication leaders across the sector
From the facts, and as made clear through World EV Day™’s Better Manifesto, it’s already a certainty that EVs are better than their ICE predecessors: Better to drive, better for the environment, and better on long-term cost. However, there is still a need to ensure these facts are communicated to a wider audience, to ensure a widespread shift to EVs over the next few years. That’s especially critical in countries approaching EV mandates, such as the UK.
The new EV Leadership Comms Group will bring together communications professionals who agree that it’s not enough to simply build a great EV – with powerful and topical storytelling also crucial for boosting EV sales across the board and driving further adoption.
Ade Thomas, Founder of World EV Day™ and Green.TV Media, commented on the group’s launch:
“The EV Leadership Comms Group will focus on actionable outcomes that help further the EV journey, such as peer-to-peer collaboration, sharing of actionable insights between marketers, commissioning of original research, and the exploration of partnership opportunities. It will also work collaboratively on campaigns to drive EV engagement, not just on World EV Day™, but across the calendar year, ensuring that EV storytelling remains an ongoing mission.”
If you’re passionate about further communicating the EV story and accelerating adoption across the globe, this is your space. To register your interest in joining the group, please contact:
