Everrati Automotive Limited, a leading technology company specialising in converting classic cars to electric drivetrains, has unveiled its latest zero-emissions creation based on a Porsche 911.
The new ‘Signature’ wide body all-electric creation is based upon a fully restored 1991 Porsche 911 964. It now has a staggering 500 brake horsepower which is more than double the power of the original.
Everrati’s latest build features lightweight carbon fibre body elements and a state-of-the-art electric vehicle (EV) powertrain. It has a range of more than 150 miles (241km) and can accelerate from 0-62mph (0-100kph) in under four seconds.
Using a DC fast charger, the battery can be replenished from 10 percent to 100 percent in less than an hour, at the cost of just £8.21. This makes driving costs cheaper than ever for a vehicle of this calibre and specification.
When Justin Lunny, Everrati Automotive Limited CEO, launched Everrati in 2019 it was his mission to create the most desirable, technically advanced, sustainable, zero-emission iconic cars in the world. To fulfil that vision to he assembled an elite engineering team from OEM, supercar, motorsport, aerospace and EV technology backgrounds.
Justin Lunny, Everrati Automotive Limited CEO, said: “We believe that it is the very DNA of a car that makes it iconic and that such cars must be preserved for future generations, not be placed in a museum, but to drive. We take some of the world’s most beautiful and seminal cars, restore and re-engineer them, always operating with full respect for the brands that created them.
“Using modern engineering techniques and integrating advanced EV powertrains, we further enhance each car’s performance. We ensure they have a similar driving ‘feel’ with weight distribution and overall weight. Mirroring the original enables automotive icons like the Porsche 911 (964) to be reborn for the coming age of zero-emission mobility, yet with soul intact.”
Former British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) champion and Porsche Carrera Cup Driver’s champion, Tim Harvey, supported much of the car’s development.
With 35 wins and more than 150 podiums at the wheel of a 911, Harvey is one of the most successful Porsche racers ever, so is perfect in his role as Everrati test driver.
Tim Harvey, Former British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) champion, said: “The latest car is a fantastic project to be involved with. I have owned and raced many Porsches, and having the chance to be involved with the rebirth of this true icon is a privilege.
”The ‘Signature’ wide body has the essence of an iconic 911, in terms of its rear-biased weight distribution and the ‘feel’ of its controls, brought right up to date thanks to the incredible performance from its electric powertrain. In this way, it is great to think that future generations will still be able to enjoy the 964 in an era of zero-emission mobility.”
The new ‘Signature’ wide body Porsche model adds to Everrati’s impressive portfolio. This includes electrified reborn icons of the Porsche 911 (964) Coupe and Targa models, 911 (964) Gulf Signature Edition, Land Rover Series IIA and Mercedes-Benz SL Pagoda. All of which are restored to concours condition and transformed with zero-emissions EV technology.
