The Polestar 2 has won the 2020 Golden Steering Wheel award in Germany. The award, which was established by Auto Bild and Bild am Sonntag, is regarded as one of the most prestigious motoring accolades in Europe. This follows the Polestar 2 recently winning the luxury car category at the German Car of the Year (GCOTY) awards.
The Polestar 2 was the only electric car to make the final round in the medium-sized sports utility vehicle category, beating many big-name combustion engine cars in the process. Its outstanding driving experience, as well as the high quality of the vehicle, convinced the European judges, consisting of international automobile journalists, racing drivers, celebrities and car enthusiasts.
The Polestar 1 plug-in hybrid also faired well placing in the top three sports cars in the final round for the international award.
