Fisker Ocean electric vehicle to make its European debut at Mobile World Congress

US electric vehicle maker Fisker has announced it will debut its Fisker Ocean all-electric sports utility vehicles (SUV) to the European market at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The event, which is dedicated primarily to the mobile communications industry, takes place 28 February to 3 March.

Fisker is developing a comprehensive and integrated European strategy. In 2021, the Manhattan Beach, California-based startup established an office in Munich and is rapidly adding staff to serve a fast-growing electric vehicle market.

The company is also constructing its first European-based brand experience centre in Munich, with plans for additional centres in other European countries.

The base model five-seater Fisker Ocean Sport electric SUV will offer a range of 250 miles (402km), with a starting price of £34,990. The top trim all-wheel-drive Fisker Ocean Extreme features dual motors and offers a range of 350 miles (563km).

Henrik Fisker, Fisker CEO, said: “I couldn’t be more excited to unveil the Fisker Ocean in Spain and present its unique combination of performance, value and technology to the European media and prospective owners.

“Europe is essential to our company as we work towards the start of production in November at a carbon-neutral factory in Austria. We aim to make the world’s most sustainable vehicle and to start deliveries in Europe this year. Ultimately, we expect to sell 60,000 units annually in the region.”
