Zeekr, the premium electric vehicle (EV) brand from Geely Holding Group, has announced the 2023 Zeekr 001 models are now available in China. The top-of-the-range model will offer an impressive range of up 641 miles (1,032km). This puts it among the longest range electric cars available today.
The only other electric vehicles to offer a range in this region are the Mercedes VISION EQXX, which delivered a record-setting range of 620 miles (1,000km), and the Lucid Air Dream Edition R offering 520 miles (837km) from a single charge.
The body of the 2023 001 models remain the same but receives updates and new colours available, including orange, blue and night black. There is also the option to choose a Qilin Battery from CATL. Zeekr is offering four base configurations for the 001 including two WE Editions, one ME Edition and one YOU Edition.
The WE Editions are offered with either 86kWh or 100kWh battery packs. The 86kWh version features a twin-motor all-wheel-drive setup and offers a range of up to 339 miles (546km). This is a swift mover with a 0-62mph (0-100kph) acceleration time of just 3.8 seconds.
The 100kWh version features a single motor rear-wheel-drive setup and while slower in acceleration, hitting 0-62mph (0-100kph) in 6.9 seconds, the range increases to 408 miles (656km).
The ME and You models both come with 100kWh battery packs and feature twin-motor all-wheel-drive setups. These models both offer a range of 408 miles (656km) and can accelerate from 0-62mph (0-100kph) in 3.8 seconds.
The most impressive model when it comes to range is the 001 WE Edition offered with a 140kWh Qilin battery. This will offer an impressive range of up 641 miles (1,032km). For some reason, Zeekr is limiting the run of this model to just 1,000 units. Delivery is expected to start in the second quarter of 2023.
