- Electric car subscription provider Voltric has partnered with Europcar in the UK, helping to meet growing demand for its service as more drivers opt for its all-in-one EV subscription package.
- Through the partnership, Europcar will supply electric cars directly to Voltric, allowing the firm to provide a wider range of EV models to its customers.
- EV subscription services offer a simplified route into becoming an EV driver, combining the vehicle, insurance, road tax, and more into one simple monthly payment.
Europcar and Voltric partner to make an electric car subscription a more attractive option
The partnership between the two firms will allow Voltric to offer a wider range of EV models, by picking out vehicles directly from Europcar’s growing and diverse electric car fleet. This will also ensure that Voltric’s UK customers can be on the road with their chosen EV within just two weeks of initially choosing their electric car subscription.
Electric car subscription services are an easy way to get into EV ownership, with Voltric’s model requiring no upfront deposit (minus a small initial signup fee), reduced paperwork, and the option to switch out vehicles on a monthly basis.
With increased demand for electric car subscriptions as the UK gets closer to its ZEV mandate, Voltric’s partnership with Europcar will allow it to grow the number of EVs available under subscription, whilst staying true to its guarantee that it can deliver a vehicle to a customer in under two weeks.
Julian Mensah, Co-Founder and CEO of Voltric, commented:
“We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience life with an electric vehicle without the long-term commitment of buying or leasing. Working with Europcar will bolster our offering and help us achieve our ambition of turning EV doubters into EV drivers. Nationwide branches and the ability to make a wide range of EVs available quickly, make Europcar a perfect partner.”
Tom Middleditch, Head of B2B Marketing and Sustainability Spokesperson for Europcar Mobility Group UK, added:
“Individual and fleet drivers want to make more sustainable mobility choices, but are often held back by the high purchase cost or the significant commitment required to lease an EV. In addition, EV technology is evolving so rapidly that a long-term commitment makes little sense. With Voltric, customers can change vehicles every few months, to ensure they always have the newest vehicle, the best tech and the longest range available. Bringing together this flexibility with the option to select a specific model means our partnership is a great fit for businesses looking at salary sacrifice schemes.
At Europcar we are committed to helping customers experience EV driving in the real world without the high up-front cost of purchase. We are continuing to expand our range of rental options and vehicle choices to ensure we can provide an EV to suit every journey. New EV drivers renting from Europcar are supported by a detailed personal handover and introduction to the vehicle at pick up, and our website provides a wealth of information on driving electric. It’s a great way to find out just how easy and cost-effective electric driving can be.”
