Nissan Juke Electric revealed as brand’s latest EV

Nissan Juke to go electric-only in its third generation, as Nissan expands its EV portfolio.

Nissan is further expanding its electric vehicle lineup in Europe, this week unveiling the third generation of its Nissan Juke model, now coming in fully-electric form for the first time. Nissan only launched the original Juke back in 2010, but this small crossover has quickly become one of the most popular cars on the market – and this EV iteration will exist in the seriously competitive electric crossover/SUV segment.

The design of the new Juke is very radical, and these photos from Nissan aren’t just concept snaps – the new car will actually look like this when it goes on sale next year.

The new electric Nissan Juke will be based on the same CMF-EV platform used in the latest Nissan Leaf, bringing strong efficiency and battery range to the table, as well as support for technologies such as vehicle-to-grid (V2G).

After this initial reveal, the Nissan Juke is set to be launched in spring 2027. There’s no word on pricing or specification yet, but the closely related Nissan Leaf gives us a hint at what we could expect. Expect the Juke EV to have the option of either a 52 kWh or 75kWh battery pack, with the latter offering a range around the 350 miles mark. For pricing, we would also expect the Juke Electric to be in the ballpark of £30,000, helping it to be competitive with other small electric SUVs.

The electric Juke will be produced in Sunderland, UK, alongside the new third-generation Nissan Leaf.

Massimiliano Messina, Chairman of Nissan AMIEO, commented:

“Europe is central to Nissan’s electrification strategy, and we remain firmly committed to a fully electric future. With a rapidly expanding EV line-up, we are bringing greater choice and innovation to every segment, powered by our strong design, engineering and manufacturing footprint in the region. Together, this next generation of vehicles will accelerate our transition to zero-emission mobility.”
