Duracell E-Charge has officially powered up its first UK EV charging location, in the upmarket town Cheltenham: a well-healed location for EV drivers. At Bath Terrace Car Park, just moments from the town’s Sandford Park, and The Brewery Quarter, the iconic battery brand has opened ten ultra-rapid 300 kW chargers designed to bring reliability, speed, and convenience to one of the region’s busiest town-centre destinations.
For EV drivers, it means fast charging backed by a household name they already trust. This marks a new chapter for EV drivers, with a super trusted brand to choose from with the familiar black and gold.
Ultra-rapid charging built for real life with Duracell EV charging
The new Bath Terrace site delivers charging speeds that get most EVs from low state-of-charge to more than 80% in under 30 minutes. This will deliver the charge you need in the time it takes to grab a coffee, catching up on emails, walking the dog, or picking up essentials from the shops around the corner. The chargers are designed to fit seamlessly into everyday life.
Drivers also benefit from up to one hour of free parking while actively charging, making quick top-ups even easier as Duracell E-Charge Cheltenham EV charging enters the UK market.
“We’re bringing reliable, ultra-rapid charging into busy urban spaces where drivers actually live their lives,” said Mark Bloxham, Managing Director at Duracell E-Charge, which launched just a month ago. “Cheltenham is the perfect starting point. It shows how Duracell E-Charge sites will combine speed, reliability, and convenience with a brand people already trust.”

Duracell E-Charge: A trusted name enters the EV charging space
Duracell’s move into EV charging is more than a brand extension, it’s a signal of confidence in the future of electrified transport. For decades, the company has been synonymous with dependable, long-lasting power. Now, Duracell E-Charge brings that legacy to the UK’s rapidly expanding charging network, promising drivers fast and reliable powering-up on the go.
This first site has been delivered in partnership with The EV Network, continuing their track record of developing high-profile charging locations with well-known brands and property partners across the UK.
More Duracell E-Charge locations on the way
Cheltenham is just the beginning. Duracell E-Charge has confirmed more sites are already planned for 2026 as it ramps up its nationwide rollout. For EV drivers, that means a trusted name entering the EV charging market, and another major boost to public charging reliability.
