PowerGo expands its EV charging infrastructure for electric cars and HGVs
The new developments will be coming to Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Spain, with each location having a strong focus on user comfort and accessibility. On-site facilities will include canopies, vending machines, restrooms, and additional space for disabled drivers. Where possible, PowerGo will look to install live pricing boards for passing EV drivers to review.
In Denmark, PowerGo is installing 10 ultra-rapid charging points across three highway locations, with maximum charging speeds of 480kW. Being located on such major roads, user traffic is expected to be heavy, and will complement the two PowerGo highway charging locations already live in the country.
In the Netherlands, a new charging hub will be built on the A9 highway, just outside of Amsterdam – another high traffic location. This site is primed for future expansion, with additional charging points for both electric cars and electric trucks expected to come further down the line, after its initial opening.
PowerGo has also secured a new charging hub for Belgium, which will consist of six charging points with maximum speeds of 400kW. In Spain, PowerGo will be installing 24 charging points across six locations (including the capital, Madrid), which are being installed on behalf of state-owned road firm SEITT.
Ivo van Dam, CEO of PowerGo, commented:
“With the expansion of our ultra-fast charging network along European highways, we are taking another important step towards making electric driving even more accessible for everyone. And we are far from done: more new locations will follow soon. Our focus remains on providing the EV driver with a fast, reliable, and sustainable charging experience, wherever they need it.”
