What is it like to drive an electric car?

Recently, customers, media and guests got the chance to take Lucid Air for a test drive and offer their experiences of driving this new electric vehicle (EV). Like most people when they drive an electric car, it induced smiles, happiness and shock at how easy it is to drive.

With the Lucid Air specifically, testers thought it was quiet and stylish, and they were impressed by the amount of room inside, even when sitting in the back. The feeling of space is also magnified by the large glass canopy roof that connects with the outside world.

The smoothness of the drive and acceleration also impressed the test drivers as the Lucid Air easily cruised smoothly up to motorway speeds. It’s no slug and will impress even the biggest petrolhead. The Dream Edition variant of the Lucid Air has a top speed of 200mph (322kph) and will hit 0-60mph (0-97kph) in just 2.5 seconds.

On a more practical note this super luxury vehicle offers an incredible 520 miles (837km) of range. This makes it the longest range electric car available. It’s also quick to charge, with the ability to add 300 miles (483km) in just 20 minutes. Prices for the Lucid Air start from $77,400 (before tax credit).

We’re sure more people will test drive this car and be equally impressed with its performance. We hope that people will see this video and want to test drive an electric car too, whatever model.

While the Lucid Air is a great example of high-end luxury and performance, many of these traits are found in all electric cars. The ease of use and the smooth drive with torquey acceleration is what sets electric cars apart. This in turn helps to provide a more relaxing journey.

Plus, zero-emissions electric cars are environmentally friendly and much cheaper to run than combustion vehicles. More good reasons to drive an electric car can be found here.
