The ID. Buzz gets a festival makeover
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has shown off photos of its one-off ‘Glamper Van’, based on the cargo variant of its ID. Buzz electric van – with the addition of a vibrant and eye-catching exterior and interior.
Inside the Glamper Van, you’ll find its standout feature – a festival-themed photobooth. This Instagram-ready setup will be open for those visiting to get their own photos taken in. The vehicle will be used as promotional material at this weekend’s PennFest music festival, in Buckinghamshire.
The company will also be showcasing the passenger version of the fully electric ID. Buzz at the festival, allowing the estimated 10,000 daily visitors to look at VW’s popular consumer and commercial electric van offerings.
This promotion follows last year’s similarly-unique Pamper Van, which was a heavily customised edition of its Multivan model, shown off at Cornbury Festival in Oxfordshire last summer.
The ID. Buzz only went on sale last year. As it shares the same MEB platform used on car models such as the ID.3 hatchback, it certainly doesn’t feel van-like to drive, with its low centre of gravity and instantaneous power from its electric motor. This has helped it earn its place as one of the best electric vans you can buy.
“Following the success of last year’s Pamper Van, Volkswagen is pleased to once again be helping festival-goers celebrate in style with the new Glamper Van. Featuring a built-in photobooth, it’s the ideal setting to capture the perfect festival photos and showcases the fantastic versatility of the all-electric ID. Buzz Cargo.”
