VinFast bags almost 30,000 pre-orders for new $10,000 VF 3 in less than three days

VinFast’s VF 3: 30,000 Pre-Orders in 66 Hours

In just 66 hours after launching its new low-cost electric SUV, VinFast’s VF 3 gathered nearly 30,000 pre-orders. Priced starting under $10,000 (235 million VND), the VinFast VF 3 is already generating excitement.

VinFast unveiled the budget-friendly VF 3 at CES 2024 in January, revealing plans for a global launch, including in the U.S.

Ms. Tran Mai Hoa, VinFast’s deputy CEO of Sales and Marketing, said the VF 3 aims to;

“unbound the imagination of urban mobility that is not only sustainable but also accessible for everyone.”

VinFast aims to meet the rising global demand for affordable EVs. The compact electric VF 3 is an SUV designed for urban commuting.

Measuring 125.6″ long, 66.1″ wide, and 63.8″ tall, the VF 3 is smaller than Volvo’s new EX30 (167″ long X 72″ wide X 61″ tall).

Equipped with a 10″ infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the VF 3 offers up to 550 litres of cargo space with the second-row seats fully folded.

The VF 3 has quickly become a social media phenomenon in Vietnam, dominating trend rankings ahead of its global debut. With a special introductory price of $9,248 (235 million VND) for the battery subscription model, the mini electric SUV is already making a significant impact.

For the first time in Vietnam, VinFast sold the VF 3 on e-commerce platforms like Shopee, with over 50% of orders placed online.

VinFast’s VF 3, with its affordable price tag and urban-centric design, has ignited a frenzy, captivating audiences both online and off. As the pre-order numbers soar and anticipation builds, it’s clear that VinFast’s vision of accessible and sustainable urban mobility is resonating with consumers worldwide.
