The 2022 EV SUMMIT welcomes leading mobility consultancy firm Baringa

The 2022 EV SUMMIT, which will take place at Oxford University’s Saïd Business School on December 12/13, has welcomed leading mobility consultancy firm, Baringa, on board as one of its partners for the event. Baringa is a purpose-driven organisation committed to maximising its positive impact on its people, clients, the community, and most importantly, on the environment.

The two-day EV SUMMIT brings together business leaders and key players working on electric vehicles, energy, information technology and charging infrastructure, to explore how we advance fully battery electric emobility in the UK and globally.

In 2020, 24 per cent of net greenhouse gas emissions in the UK were estimated to be from the transport sector. This is despite the large reduction in the use of road transport during the nationwide lockdowns, highlighting the challenge ahead of us. Thus, there is a major role for analysis and investment in the mobility space, something that is prioritised at the EV SUMMIT.

With Baringa striving to embed environmental and social sustainability into everything it does, this makes them the perfect partner for the EV SUMMIT. The company ensures its approach is aligned with its UN Sustainable Development Goals and empowers people to make a difference.

In the emobility sector, Baringa teams up with its clients to tackle their toughest business challenges. This ranges from building global electric vehicles (EVs), energy services and flexibility strategies for some of the leading automotive and energy clients, to setting up a fleet electrification roadmap for large and small fleets alike, to identifying the right investment opportunities for a wide range of investors to deploy capital in the booming charging infrastructure sector.

Natasha Patel, Baringa Partners Director, said: “Baringa’s consultancy team are leaders in energy services and flexibility strategies for leading automotive and energy clients. Our work includes creating a fleet electrification roadmap for large and small fleets alike.

“We advise on investment opportunities, for a wide range of investors, in the booming EV charging infrastructure sector. At the EV SUMMIT, known as ‘the Davos for emobility’, we will be working with partners to collectively move the needle in the decarbonisation of mobility.”

Baringa is helping to lead the way in climate change and decarbonisation. A key aspect of this is in the transport and energy space, and its electrification. The company has been awarded the title of the UK’s Leading Consultancy in the energy space by the Financial Times on several occasions.

Ade Thomas, EV SUMMIT Founder, said: “The EV SUMMIT is very much that, a summit. As such, it welcomes the most significant organisations in the consultancy, analysis and investment space. Baringa are absolutely that and I’m delighted that they are joining us for the 2022 summit.

“The EV SUMMIT has delivered on deals that have seen partnerships come together that have delivered major infrastructure projects. This includes Energy Superhub Oxford, Europe’s most powerful EV charging hub, a £41 million project.”
