Tesla has reduced the prices of some of its Model 3 and Model Y cars in the United States. As a result, this means the cheapest model from the US electric carmaker now starts from under $37,000, making it extremely competitive with similar spec electric cars.
Tesla’s Model 3 Standard Range Plus sees a reduction of $1,000 dropping from $37,990 to $36,990. The Model 3 Performance all-wheel-drive also sees a $1,000 price drop from 55,990 to $54,990, while the Model 3 Long Range all-wheel-drive remains the same at $46,990.
Tesla has also dropped prices of several of its Model Y electric cars. The Model Y Standard Range sees a $2,000 price drop from $41,990 to $39,990. The Model Y Performance all-wheel-drive model sees a $1,000 price drop from $60,990 to $59,990, while the Model Y Long Range all-wheel-drive model remains the same at $49,990.
These prices drops are great for potential customers in the US and help to keep the electric car market competitive. Ultimately, this can only be a good thing with consumers benefiting from cheaper prices when it comes to zero-emission driving.
