Simpson & Partners, a new British-owned electric vehicle (EV) home charging manufacturer, has entered the market to offer drivers premium quality products at affordable prices.
The new company, a family-run technology business, has been launched by the original co-founders of Andersen EV, Mandy and David Simpson, after leaving the company in 2020.
The brand’s first products, The Home Series, are a trio of sleek-looking well-designed wall boxes. They are smaller than an A4 sheet of paper and engineered using high-quality materials that are reliable and built to last.
All the chargers are designed and manufactured from a brand-new state-of-the-art 5000 square metre facility in the Cotswolds that opened this summer. Each unit is designed to match the understated elegance of the surrounding area. We love how subtle these chargers look and how unintrusive they are.
Simpson & Partners untethered chargers come in three different models, from 3.6-22kW and have over 100 different carefully selected colour combinations, as well as sustainably sourced front panel options.
With prices starting from £649, The Home Series is simple to use and install and is compatible with all hybrid and electric vehicles. Simpson & Partners charging units can be controlled using a mobile app which connects to the charger whether the internet is available or not.
This allows customers to check on the charging levels of their cars and schedule and charge their vehicles when energy prices are at their lowest. With the current price rises in electricity, this sort of smart charging is a must to keep bills down. Despite these rises, electric cars are still far cheaper to run than their combustion equivalents.
The Home Series charger can also link to solar panels if people have them. The chargers are compatible with three-phase and solar power and seamlessly integrate with the customer’s home energy system.
The new Home Series chargers are available nationwide and can easily be installed by any qualified electrician. There are over 180 approved installers working with Simpson & Partners to install its charging units.
