Forward-thinking electric car brand Polestar will be exhibiting at this year’s EV Summit. The Swedish carmaker will be displaying their luxury all-electric Polestar 2. The event will take place at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School on 1-2 September.
Now in its fourth year, the EV Summit has earned the epithet ‘the Davos for emobility’. It has been noted for attracting CEO speakers and as a platform for major announcements in the emobility sector.
This year the EV Summit is placing the master narrative of decarbonisation at the centre of the event. It will feature 10 panels across two days, covering the significant business issues on the rapid transition to emobiity.
Polestar are a guiding star when it comes to sustainability and their award-winning Polestar 2 has won many titles. These include Germany’s coveted Golden Steering Wheel and Top Gear’s Best All-Rounder in their Electric Awards 2021. It also took Car of the Year titles in Norway, Switzerland, Germany and China, and won Product Innovation of the Year at the prestigious edie awards.
The all-electric Polestar 2 is now available in three versions that offer up to 335 miles (539km) of range. Prices for this stylish luxury electric crossover start from £39,990. Event-goers and passers-by will be able to view the zero-emissions Polestar 2 in the flesh outside the Saïd Business School during the Summit. Polestar will also have product specialists on site to help show people around the car and answer any questions they may have.
Jonathan Goodman, UK CEO and head of global communications at Polestar, said: “Polestar as one of only two global pure EV brands on the market has an exciting period of growth ahead of us. The EV summit as the benchmark EV gatherings of the year is an event that we are proud and delighted to attend.”
Elizabeth Penny, EV Summit head of partnerships, said: “We’ve seen our exhibitors come away with deals worth tens of millions at the EV Summit. We have a high level business audience that includes investors, fleets and leasing companies, so some big buyers of EVs.”
As well as exhibiting the Polestar 2, Polestar will also be speaking about their sustainability and vision for electric vehicles (EVs). This will take place on the ‘Electric OEMs’ panel that investigates passenger vehicles for the future.
Ade Thomas, co-founder of the EV Summit, said: “The EV Summit is all about showcasing the best electric cars but it’s equally important to look into sustainability solutions, and Polestar is a real leader on both counts.”
