Kia has launched a series of exclusive nationwide ‘EV6 Electric Experience’ events in the UK. They will offer an early opportunity for customers to get up close and personal with Kia’s new crossover style electric car, the EV6.
The events include the EV6 car reveal and an interactive walk-around the EV6. Plus, Kia’s electric vehicle (EV) experts will be available to answer any questions and provide first-hand knowledge about this new electric car.
One of eleven Kia electric cars to be launched by 2026 as part of its ‘Plan S’ global strategy, the EV6 is the first of seven dedicated EV models, which is built on the Electric-Global Modular Platform. This is also shared by Hyundai.
This electric platform was developed for specifically electric vehicles and features 400/800-volt charging for next-generation ultra-fast charging. The EV6 can charge up to 80 percent in little as 18 minutes.
Alongside its fast charging capabilities, the EV6 has an impressive range of up to 328 miles (528km) from its standard long-range 77.4kWh battery pack. That’s more than enough to cover a return trip from London to Cardiff, on a single charge.
With the EV6, Kia has also worked to reduce carbon footprint throughout the vehicle’s lifecycle. As a result, the EV6 also recently achieved product carbon footprint certification from the Carbon Trust.
The EV6 Electric Experience events run dealer-by-dealer until early November and are available to all members of the public who book a place via the Kia website.
The EV6 will be available in four versions in the UK with prices starting from £40,895 for the real-wheel drive entry-level model.
