Following a short supply of Kia’s popular e-Niro sports utility vehicle (SUV) in the UK, the Korean car manufacturer have announced that they will have enough electric cars to supply orders made now ready for delivery in September. Fortunately, Kia have been able to secure a larger allocation of the e-Niro for the UK, and have also promised to fulfil the 3,000 backlog orders from 2019.
The popularity of the e-Niro has been massive and Kia have sold more e-Niro’s in the month of July than in the whole of 2019. The extra allocation will be ready in time for the annual plate change in September, as well as providing dealers with demonstration models for potential buyers to test drive.
Kia UK boss, Paul Philpott, said: “The Niro family has brought increased variance, style and eco credentials to our UK product offering. With the additional e-Niro availability coming to our shores it places our dealer partners in a better position to satisfy the huge demand we have received for the vehicle. What’s more, the recently launched Soul EV adds to this ability to give our customers what they want, when they want it.”
