Alpine has shown a glimpse of its electric future with the A290, a new hot hatch hitting the segment. Drawing inspiration from the concept A290_β, this compact, high-tech EV is ready to take on the busy electric hatchback segment.

Performance

The A290 is all about electric power. It features a cutting-edge electric drivetrain that promises quick acceleration and a responsive drive. The battery technology ensures a range of approximately 250 miles on a full charge. Therefore, it’s suitable for both city commuting and longer drives.

Alpine has also equipped the A290 with advanced driver assistance systems, enhancing both safety and convenience. These include Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keeping Assist. Also, Automatic Emergency Braking and Blind Spot Monitoring to enhance safety.

A large central touchscreen integrates with the latest infotainment systems, for connectivity and entertainment on the go. Moreover, the car includes multiple driving modes.

Traffic Sign Recognition displays relevant sign information on the dashboard, and Parking Assistance helps to automate parking. Driver Attention Monitoring tracks driver behaviour, alerting to drowsiness or inattention. These systems work together to offer a safer, more comfortable drive.

The cabin features a clean, modern layout with high-quality materials. The racing-inspired seats offer both comfort and support, emphasizing the car’s sporty nature.
