Vauxhall introduces sporty Vivaro GS electric van

Vauxhall in the UK has introduced a sporty GS trim level to its Vivaro Electric medium-sized vans. Prices for the smart-looking Vivaro Electric GS start from £55,000 (excluding VAT). The GS trim is a new addition to the Vivaro light commercial vehicle (LCV) range and becomes the most sporty and dynamic offering in the line-up.

At the front, a new lip spoiler adds to the vehicle’s road presence. To complement the sharper front profile, the GS is further enhanced by the addition of side skirts with integrated front mudguards. Among the other eye-catching updates is the addition of exclusive Y-spoke 18-inch black alloy wheels and high-load capacity tyres.

The rear of the vehicle also receives GS-specific features, including a carefully integrated two-piece spoiler to improve stability when the vehicle is unladen. This is complemented by a completely new rear bumper, which integrates with the unique rear spoiler and side skirts to create a harmonised, striking design.

Inside, hand-crafted eco-leather seats (more resistant to wear and chemicals) with GS logos are now standard across both models. The seats are finished in bold red stitching and perforated material for ventilation, combining premium sporty styling with the comfort required by those who enjoy driving for a living.

The Vivaro Electric, which is currently the UK’s best-selling electric light commercial vehicle, comes with a 75kWh battery. This in turn delivers up to 189 miles of range and supports up to 100kW rapid charging, with an 80 per cent taking just 45 minutes. It has a maximum load volume of 5.8 square metres and a payload of 1,000kg.

Adam Wood, Marketing Director, Vauxhall, said: “The GS offers something very unique to LCV buyers. With unique looks and interior updates, it not only stands out on the road but also maintains the practicality and versatility the Vivaro is known for.

“Vauxhall is known as one of few manufacturers able to offer British businesses a fully electric van across our entire line-up, and we’re continuing that with the GS – available on both Vivaro and Vivaro Electric models.”
