Jaguar expands its electric car range with the new Jaguar I-PACE Black

The all-electric Jaguar I-PACE sports utility vehicle (SUV) is will now be available in I-PACE Black special editions. These exclusive new additions benefit from an enhanced specification over the SE and HSE models on which they are based, This includes a panoramic roof and privacy glass.

The clean look is accentuated by the gloss black finish of the 20-inch five-spoke wheels, and the I-PACE Black models are available in the full range of colours and include metallic paints as standard. A black finish is also applied to the door mirror caps as well as the grille, grille surround, side window surrounds and rear badges

This is combined with ebony leather sports seats and gloss black trim finishers are complemented by an ebony headliner. The new I-PACE Black will cost £72,445 with the HSE  I-PACE Black priced at £76,695 and is available to order now. This new high-end model joins the current range of I-PACE models and the recently announced I-PACE EV320.

Julian Thomson, Jaguar design director, said: “The I-PACE’s dramatic, cab-forward profile, short overhangs and taut, muscular haunches give it a sense of drama which sets it apart from other SUVs. Creating the exclusive I-PACE Black gave us the opportunity to subtly enhance the design, making it look even more dynamic, distinctive and desirable.”

The I-PACE Black’s 90kWh battery delivers 400PS and 696Nm of instant torque, enabling acceleration from 0-62mph (0-100kph) in 4.8 seconds. This offers a range of up to 279 miles (450km) from a fun charge and can be charged up to 33 miles (53km) per hour using 11kW (AC) wall box and three-phase supply. When charging with a 100kW DC charger the I-PACE Black can add up to 78 miles (126km) of range in just 15 minutes.
