Hyundai to hold virtual and showroom events for the launch of its new IONIQ 5 electric car in the UK

Hyundai will offer customers and interested parties the opportunities to see its new IONIQ 5 electric both in the flash and at a virtual showroom event. The IONIQ 5 is the Korean carmakers latest electric vehicle (EV). The zero-emissions electric crossover utility vehicle (CUV) combines modern styling with long range.

The virtual events will take place 22-25 April in Hyundai’s virtual showroom and people will be able to experience this new electric car from the comfort of their own home.

The event will be hosted by a team of IONIQ 5 product experts and they’ll be the opportunity to ask questions live as the team guides you through its latest all-electric model. These events include a 30-minute walkaround tour along with the Q&A sessions.

Along with the virtual event, Hyundai will also offering a physical event with an all-electric pop-up experience at the Bullring in Birmingham. This event will take place 23-25 April and the all-electric IONIQ 5 will be making its first public appearance ahead of the UK launch this summer.

This is a chance to be amongst the first to experience this all-electric crossover vehicle in person. The event will be guided by Hyundai’s product experts who will offer first-hand experience about the IONIQ 5’s unique design, advanced technology and safety features during your tour. Hyundai will also have its KONA EV be on display as part of Hyundai’s electric vehicle range.

Hyundai will offer the IONIQ 5 in two battery pack options, either 58kWh or 72.6kWh. There will also be the choice of two electric motor layouts, either with a rear-wheel-drive or an all-wheel-drive.

The IONIQ 5 offers an impressive range of up to 311 miles (500km) from a single charge. The top-end 72.6 kWh all-wheel-drive version is a nippy little mover with a top speed of 115mph (185kph) and can accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100kph) in just 5.2 seconds.
