DRIVE

Whether you want to test out an electric vehicle for the first time, or you’re looking at options to try before you buy, they’ll be a range of new and second-hand electric models for you to take out on a free test drive.

We often see electric vehicles in big cities but our test drives will give you the chance to experience them out on the open road. And where better to see electric vehicles in action than in the idyllic countryside surrounding Blenheim Palace?

From spacious SUVs like the Volvo XC40 and coupés like the BMW i4 to compact commuters including MINI, electric scooters and much more, there will be something there for everyone.

Hyundai will be at the event and bringing their Hyundai Kona Electric and IONIQ5 for people to test drive. Nissan will be at the event and have the latest version of their iconic Nissan LEAF to test drive and will be showcasing the all-new ARIYA ahead of its full launch this summer. Ford will also be bringing two electric cars for testing too.

It’s not all new cars either. Go Green Autos will be at the event offering people the more affordable secondhand options and providing advice on used car purchases.

LEARN

Along with cars to test drive, there will be even more on display and you’ll have the chance to explore some of the latest and greatest electric options on the market.

With so many electric vehicles gathered in one place, the event will be a great opportunity to compare ranges and prices to find a vehicle that works best for you. You’ll also be able to find out what home charging options there are on offer and how to get the most out of the UK’s public charging network.

Plus, there will also be plenty of experts on hand to talk you through every stage of the electric vehicle journey, from the different purchasing options and government grants to getting a home charger fitted.

The RAC will be bringing their team of electric experts down to talk people through the full journey to electric and the help they can offer. They help with everything from home charging and insurance to business leasing and electric vehicle-specific breakdown cover. They’re also offering free breakdown assistance for all guests at EV LIVE if they have any issues while on Blenheim grounds.

EVIE Chargers will also be on hand showcasing their charging solutions for homes and businesses and offering a £100 discount on their service (home charging unit plus installation) if people register with them on the day.

If you’re looking to find out more about what it’s like to own and drive an electric vehicle you’ll even be able to hear a more personal perspective from local drivers who have made the switch to an EV.

Oxford Brookes Racing Team will also be at the event with their electric racing car for all to view and ask questions about.
