Self-belief is a common theme throughout Top Women in EV 2021, a week that shines a light on the women leading the transition to emobility. From 26 April – 2 May, this EV Summit campaign, in partnership with ElectricDrives, features an inspirational mix of women from across the sector keen to pave the way for the next generation. From engineers to founders of start-ups, some of the most forward-thinking change-makers will be featured on ElectricDrives in a series of in-depth spotlight interviews. Discover what motivated a medical researcher to set up a global EV company or find out why more diversity in boardrooms could result in a faster, more effective transition to EVs.

The Top Women in EV campaign will feature women working for many of the world’s leading mobility companies, including Wallbox Chargers, ALD Automotive, SSE Enterprise and EVA Global. 70 women from over 50 organisations will be featured across the week-long LinkedIn social media campaign side.
The automotive industry has traditionally been considered a male-dominated industry, but that’s all shifting, like the automotive sector itself. On each of the seven days of the Top Women in EV campaign, women will be championed across LinkedIn in categories that include business, communications, engineering and technology. Every nominee has the opportunity to offer an hour of their time to help mentor some of the electric women of the future. So far, that’s around 20 hours of invaluable insight from top experts shared with the talent of tomorrow.
Now in its second year, the EV Summit’s Top Women in EV campaign has become one of the leading campaigns in the emobility year. Co-Founder of both the EV Summit and the Top Women in EV campaign, Rashida Noray, said: “The EV Summit was designed to lead a transition to emobility and to celebrate the next generation of leaders behind the movement”. “Across the emobility sector there is a cohort of powerful women leading this charge and we at the EV Summit are delighted to champion them in the Top Women in EV campaign.”

On 29 April, LinkedIn’s automotive lead, Michelle Davis, will host a discussion about how women can achieve, succeed and be the catalyst for change in this sector. In partnership with Wallbox Chargers, the EV Summit panel event will take place 2-3.30pm BST featuring an exciting line-up of successful female presidents, partners and heads of department which Davis is delighted to be moderating: “I’ll be asking the question, how can women drive leadership and inspire change in the emobility industry? I’m looking forward to moderating an insightful panel and hearing from the global audience at this interactive online event.”
Whether you’re wanting to enable more diversity within your own workplace, looking for the confidence to apply for more senior roles, or starting out and in need of a few words of wisdom from successful women already in the emobility fast lane, the EV Summit’s Top Women in EV campaign brings innovative, dynamic, female leaders together to collaborate and share ideas, strategies and visions for a clean, green and fairer future.
