Kia launches nationwide ‘Electric Experience’ in the UK

Kia are launching a new nationwide ‘Electric Experience’ series of events in the UK to give customers the chance to get hands-on with Kia’s latest electrified models. This includes the all-new Niro that’s available as an all-electric vehicle (EV), along with hybrid and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) versions.

The Electric Experience events are being held across Kia’s 191 dealerships up and down the country, starting in the South East before working their way North. They begin on 20 April and run until 8 July. Customers wishing to attend can find and book a place at their nearest event online at www.kiaelectricexperience.co.uk

The events will provide customers with the opportunity to explore an all-new Niro electric vehicle along with the brand’s electric crossover, the EV6. Customers will be able to sit in and get up close with these vehicles, with experts on-hand to provide advice and answer questions about the vehicles and driving electric cars in general.

For us, the big pull is Kia’s EV6 electric crossover. This car, which was crowned  European Car of the Year 2022 is beautifully designed and crafted. It’s Kia’s first dedicated electric vehicle based on the company’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).

Its high-tech design eliminates many of the compromises faced by electric vehicles built on platforms designed to accommodate internal combustion engines. As a result of its E-GMP underpinnings, the EV6 has a class-leading interior space, offers up to 328-miles (528km) driving range and the 800V ultra-fast charging capabilities enable it to be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes.

Kia plans to launch 14 all-electric vehicles by 2027 as part of its global ‘Plan S’ strategy, which focuses on electric cars and mobility solutions.
