Energica Inside, the business unit of Energica Motor Company dedicated to developing innovative solutions for emobility, has signed a commercial agreement with Solectrac, the US leading electric tractor manufacturer.
The agreement will see Energica Inside share its expertise in electric vehicle (EV) know-how and use its technology inside Solectrac’s tractors. The new Italian business unit will work with the US company to develop the battery packs for Solectrac’s entire model line of electric tractors, as well as the vehicle control unit (VCU).
Prototype tractor assembly will take place at the new Energica Inside facility near Modena.
Carlo Lacovini, Energica Inside general manager, said: “This agreement represents for us an important step in the sustainable transition applied to the agricultural industrial sector which has been touched only marginally so far.
“This important result follows the mission of the Energica brand to help lead change in the world of sustainability.”
The synergy between these two electric vehicle companies is made possible thanks to Ideanomics, of which both Energica and Solectrac are subsidiaries.
All of the companies of the Ideanomics global family are brought together to accelerate the commercial adoption of electric vehicles by bringing vehicles, charging and financing solutions together under one roof.
